LATEST NEWS:
I’m over the moon to announce my story “The Good Mother” was selected as the winner of the Toronto Star Short Story Contest 2024! An absolutely surreal experience! I couldn’t be happier or more grateful for this amazing opportunity! Not only was I awarded a very generous cash prize, I have also been gifted tuition to the Humber School of Writers where I will be able to work one-to-one with an esteemed mentor! It’s truly a dream come true!
I’m also thrilled to have stories nominated for a Pushcart Prize, Best Small Fictions, and Best Microfiction! In addition, I’ve been selected for The SmokeLong Quarterly Fellowship for Emerging Writers 2024! I am so excited, honoured, and grateful to be part of the SmokeLong Quarterly team during the fellowship.
“The Girl Made of Dirt” made the shortlist in the 2023 Bridport Prize, and will be appear in Fractured Lit OPEN Anthology judged by the amazingly talented Sara Lippman.
I’m currently revising my upmarket suspense manuscript, which can best be described as The Paper Palace meets The Push. I hope 2024 will have wonderful publishing news for me and for all my wonderful writer friends!
